Enjoy a more casual wedding in the heart of Massachusetts’ apple country at Hyland Orchard & Brewery. Our farm is a unique orchard set on one of the highest elevations in the charming town of Sturbridge, MA. The beautiful hillside, with unspoiled surroundings, provides an idyllic setting for any occasion. Mid-April through mid-September we host weddings Friday through Sunday. We also offer Friday weddings only mid-September through October.

The Hyland Orchard Wedding experience begins with the Ceremony on the Hill. Our Ceremony area is perched 350 yards atop the Orchard and overlooks the beautiful hilltops of the area. It is serene, breathtaking and unique. It features custom bench seating for approximately 100 Guests with ample standing room for additional guests. The Custom arbor frames the picturesque orchard backdrop. Our vintage IMG_2031John Deere tractor wagon ride transports guests to the Ceremony on the Hill (seats 16 guests per trip) and loops through the Orchard to immerse guests in the orchard experience. Guests love this fun feature and truly enjoy the integrative experience. There is also access to park a few cars at the Hilltop, if necessary. It is a beautiful stroll from the Pavilion, as well. Please note that because of the remote setting, there is no access to electricity. DJ’s and musicians are encouraged to use a small generator or battery operated system.

The Hyland Wedding continues on to the Pavilion Reception. The Pavilion is spacious enough to seat up to 160 Guests. The Pavilion is cement floored with a covered roof. The Pavilion features gorgeous windowed sliding wooden walls that enclose the area in the case of inclement weather. The bar boasts custom beam light fixtures which fullsizerendergive it a rustic, yet polished feel. The Pavilion features a platform stage for musical acts and DJ’s (no PA is included).

2019 and 2020 bookings are now in full swing. Doe offers tours most Fall weekends and by request on weekdays April through September. Please plan to tour accordingly.

Doe is our venue coordinator and is here to provide tours and basic information for booking. Hyland is a DIY venue, meaning we do not provide a full-time Wedding Coordinator. Doe is here for general questions, tours, bookings, contracts, and billing. She operates a private Facebook Group for all Hyland wedding couples, communicating planning tips and advice to all couples. Many past couples remain in the Group and provide input and photos.

Alongside Chris Damon, she designed the Ceremony of the Hill and was an integral part of the 2015 Hyland Orchard ‘reinvention’, which resulted in numerous upgrades and new features. Her creative expertise is part of the Hyland Orchard experience, as can be seen on Instagram and Pinterest (as ‘Hyland Orchard’) with ideas, inspiration and pictures of past weddings.
